Adventurer’s Sabbath at Mt. Olives SDA Church – 17th May 2025

On 17th May 2025, Mt. Olives Seventh-day Adventist Church in Naalya, hosted a vibrant and spiritually enriching World Adventurer’s Sabbath. Organized by the Adventurer’s Department. The event centered around the theme “Faithful Journeys”, highlighting the importance of nurturing spiritual growth from a young age.

The Sabbath commenced with a heartfelt worship service led by the young preachers Mark, Hezekiah, and Joy. Their sermons emphasized the theme “Faithful Journeys,” encouraging the congregation to embark on personal spiritual journeys and to instill faith in the younger generation.

Bwogi’s Testimony: Bwogi, a young boy, shared a his powerful take away of the day was about the significance of memorizing Bible verses and the importance of prayer from a young age. He urged children to embrace these practices and pass them on to their children when they grow up

Shalin’s Musical Offering caught the Audience as well, Shalin another young worshiper, drew attention to a song performed by the Little Lambs, which conveyed the message that “when we pray, God listens.” This song reinforced the idea that God is always attentive to our prayers such a powerful lesson from a little Soul and to all of us.

The afternoon session was marked by a vibrant program featuring presentations from the Adventurers and Pathfinders. These presentations showcased the talents and spiritual growth of the children, including:

Adventurer Presentations: The Adventurers demonstrated their learning through various activities, reflecting the club’s focus on developing a Christ-like character, learning good sportsmanship, and discovering God-given abilities.

The Adventurer’s Sabbath at Mt. Olives SDA Church was a testament to the church’s commitment to nurturing the spiritual growth of its youngest members. Through the active participation of the children and the support of the congregation, the event successfully underscored the theme “Journeys of Faith,” inspiring all attendees to embark on their own spiritual journeys and to guide the next generation in faith and service
